Stuart Amos (54) held the home innings together and Steve Rhodes struck some mighty blows to set Stanford a good total to chase. Neil Fuller (41) and Sean Barker (38) produced a stand of 80 for the 2nd wicket that saw the visitors to 102 – 1. Four wickets tumbled for the addition of only one more run, as Dave Payne (5-26) ran riot. Daryl Woodford (24no) tried his best, but ran out of partners as Stanford’s lower order folded.
