Week 16 *** SLHCC 1st XI secure a 27 run win over Basildon with Captain Lee Knight hitting 49 not out *** 6-37 from Captain Andy Powley helps the 2nd XI win a dramatic 8 run win over Old Parkonians *** The 3rd XI lose by 8 wickets to Walthamstow 5th XI *** Due to Billericay 5th XI being unable to raise a side, the 4th XI picked up the maximum 20 points for a win *** Week 17 *** Despite 38 from Ross Poulton and 4-35 from Neil Samwell, the 1st XI suffer a 3 wicket defeat to Wickford *** Half centurys from Kevin Smith (57*) and James Drain (56) were not enough for the 2nd XI as the rain caused the match against Belhus 2's to be drawn *** The 3rd XI draw with Basildon 4th XI at the rec with Rob Pearn hitting 32 and Andy Freeman taking 3-47 *** The 4th XI (only had 9 players) suffer a big defeat to Harold Wood 5th's despite Adrian Page's 4-57 ***

Suggestion Box

 

This is a new idea from the Cricket Committee Chairman Duncan Page,

We would like everyone who is involved with Stanford Le Hope Cricket Club in any way to let us know about suggestions they have at how we can improve the club. Obviously we have our own ideas but we would like to hear from everyone with new ideas.

Things like equipment, more recent pictures on the wall, new beers behind the bar etc can be taken to the cricket and management committee and discussed.
