SLHCC 1st XI 170 all out v Woodford Green 1st XI 188 all out
Matthew Page 44 Lee Knight 31   Ross Poulton 6-55 Harry Maher 2-45

Stanford lost their 100% record to bottom club Woodford Green in a shock result. Having inserted the home team, both Kevin Smith and Harry Maher struck early to remove the openers. Sam Davies (45) and Ali Muzzaffar (46) combined in a stand of  90 for the 3rd wicket to get back on course. Stanford skipper Ross Poulton bagged his 4th haul of 5 or betterfor the season, as he returned 6-55, but David Hawkes (50), chanced his arm to boost the Green total.

188 should have been well within the grasp of Stanford, but only Lee Knight (31) and Robert Page (20) made double figure scores from the top  (3-six batsmen. Keeper Matthew Page (44) led the chase by the tail that got them close, but the innings closed with an 18 run deficit. Yagoob Khushi  (3-45) returned the best figures in a solid Woodford Green fielding display.

Josh Reid 60* Neil Fuller 55   Greg Barr 3-10 Daryl Woodford 1-2

A solid batting performance, saw Stanford 2nds set a challenging target as they declared in the 50th over. Neil Fuller (55) and Luke Dennis (53) shared a 2nd wicket stand of 105 and the tempo was maintained as Josh Reid (60no) un-rolled his full repertoire of sumptuous shots.

The Green seconds had a disastrous start as they threw two wickets away with run-outs at the top of the innings. The rest of the batting failed to come to terms with some lively home bowling from the home seam attack Greg Barr (3-10) led the way, with the rest of the bowlers sharing things around. SLHCC 3rd XI 132 all out v Walthamstow 4th XI 189 all out
Rob Pearn 36 John Fuller 19   Harry Cook 4-20 John Fuller 2-30

Walthamstow won the toss and decided to bat on a fine day at Stanford Rec. They soon began to pile on the runs, with openers David Elliott (42) and Jake Stafford (31) adding 70 for the first wicket. With Qaasim Hussain (39) and Roy Thompson (24) also joining in, the visitors were threatening a huge total at 170-3. However, a fine spell of off-spin from Harry Cook (4-20), with good support from Ben Tarten and Charlie Gleisinger, engineered a remarkable collapse. Stow lost their last 7 wickets for only 19 runs and the home team were in the hunt.

Unfortunately, Stanford were put under some immediate pressure by some lively and accurate bowling from Walthamstow openers Solly Mirza (4-42) and Harris Snr (2-15). Rob Pearn (36) held on gamely at one end, but Stow kept things really tight and Ansar Hussain (3-42) finished things off for the visitors.
