Week 16 *** SLHCC 1st XI secure a 27 run win over Basildon with Captain Lee Knight hitting 49 not out *** 6-37 from Captain Andy Powley helps the 2nd XI win a dramatic 8 run win over Old Parkonians *** The 3rd XI lose by 8 wickets to Walthamstow 5th XI *** Due to Billericay 5th XI being unable to raise a side, the 4th XI picked up the maximum 20 points for a win *** Week 17 *** Despite 38 from Ross Poulton and 4-35 from Neil Samwell, the 1st XI suffer a 3 wicket defeat to Wickford *** Half centurys from Kevin Smith (57*) and James Drain (56) were not enough for the 2nd XI as the rain caused the match against Belhus 2's to be drawn *** The 3rd XI draw with Basildon 4th XI at the rec with Rob Pearn hitting 32 and Andy Freeman taking 3-47 *** The 4th XI (only had 9 players) suffer a big defeat to Harold Wood 5th's despite Adrian Page's 4-57 ***

This match at Horndon Rec, saw Stanford clinch this year’s KO Cup with 3 balls to spare. Horndon batted first and Jeff West Jnr (45) played a mature innings to help secure a challenging total. Lee Knight (3-39) and Gary Sanderson (2-22) made sure it stayed within the realms of possibility.

Stanford got off to a blistering start as Ian Sanderson (33) despatched the bowling. Three quick wickets rocked Stanford, but Lee Knight (49no) and Nathan Shearer (29no) joined forces to put together a timely 84 run partnership to clinch victory by 7 wickets.
